a) Performing laboratory tests in soil mechanics and geotechnics

  •  Soil classification tests including grain size analysis and Atterberg limits

Performing physical strength tests, fineness by Blaine method, and determination of unit weight

- Aggregates

  • All physical and chemical tests on aggregates, including grain size distribution, determination of particles passing No. 200 sieve, Los Angeles abrasion test, freeze-thaw resistance, sulfate soundness (using sodium and magnesium sulfate), determination of sulfate and chloride content, and more.
  • Petrographic examination of aggregates for use in concrete
  • Determination of alkali-silica reactivity (ASR) potential of aggregates and carbonate rocks used as concrete aggregates
